Open

This park has a great playground, splash pad, and workout stations. It also has a large parking lot and lots of grass to enjoy.

Teachers were honored in March as the school district started lifting COVID restrictions, and Deptford High School students turned their tassels in June during a graduation ceremony no longer hampered by the virus. Read on to learn more.

Playgrounds

This is a very nice and clean modern park with lots of playground equipment for the little ones. The newest addition is the splash pad.

While it’s not big, it is fun for the kids to run in, around, up, down, and all over this cool water feature during hot summer days. There is no shade at the splash pad or on the playground equipment so bring sunscreen and a hat.

A nice touch is the inclusion of a first responder memorial inside the traffic circle near the Delsea Drive entrance to the park. Medany said the township often gets requests to name streets, parks, and other locations after residents who have given their lives in service.

Walking Trails

The park is large and there are walking paths that go around the full perimeter. Some are through wooded areas and some up to small elevations. The kids love to go there and use the splash pad in the summer. There are also baseball fields and tennis courts.

Medany said the township gets numerous requests from residents to name parks, streets, and buildings after people who have dedicated their lives to Deptford Township. She said the Legacy Park project was a natural extension of that. Once completed the plaques for Legacy Honorees will be placed on the walls that face the Delsea Drive entrance to the park. A must-see place!

Pickle Ball Courts

There are new pickleball courts at Fasola Park, which are now open for public use. A new addition to the game, pickleball combines aspects of tennis and badminton with a small net and paddles. The ball resembles a wiffleball with holes. The rigid structure of the ball makes it move much slower than a tennis ball, preventing the aggressive wild bounces associated with that sport.

The township also added a Legacy Park at the park, located inside the traffic circle as park-goers enter through the Delsea Drive entrance. An ordinance codifies how residents can be honored for their dedication to the community on a wall at this spot.

Tennis Courts

There are several different tennis courts at this location for players of all skill levels. There are also many leagues and tournaments that take place at this facility. You can check out the schedule online or contact the facility directly to find out more information.

The township has begun its own pickleball program that aims to get people of all ages in shape by playing this fun sport. It’s similar to tennis but uses paddles instead of rackets.

The hotel is located a short drive from Deptford Mall and Timber Creek Park. Philadelphia International Airport is within a 16-mile drive. The hotel offers free parking onsite.

Fitness Area

There are running trails throughout the park and fields for sports. There is also a children’s splash pad.

The contract with Girone specified that the company would conduct a thorough search for any misfired shells after the display, and both the Fire Marshal and the president of the Girone testified that, if any unspent shells were found at Fasola, they were to be turned over to the company immediately. Municipal officials were not to pick them up.

Active guests will appreciate the fitness classes, a gym area, and an indoor pool at this 3-star property. Guests can also enjoy the onsite restaurant and bar. Click here for more interesting articles.
